Debbie Thomason: Passion and dedication personified

Debbie Thomason is the owner of the Playhouse Studio of Dance in Marion and Wabash,IN. She is also owner of the Broadway Bound Studio of Dance in Kokomo, In. Debbie has had a passion and love for dance since the age of five. Her parents enrolled her at Playhouse under the instruction of the late Gayle and Phyllis Tutterow. After the Tutterows left Marion to pursue their dance careers in Flordia, Debbie studied under Teal Royer. Teal molded Debbie into the dancer and choreographer she is today.
Debbie became a member of the Indiana dance convention and taught at the seminars at the age of twenty. She is the founder of “Company PSD'. The company is made up of the finest and most serious dancers who audition. They travel to different cities to compete and to perform. Debbie prides herself on the fact her studios have something to offer every dancer, rather it be competing performing, or dancing for recreation. Several of her students have gone on to become professional performers on cruise ships, athletic dance teams, and performance troupes. The studio has been awarded with several first place dance awards, most entertaining studio, best choreography and the ultimate studio of the competition. Debbie and her students have traveled to Spain to dance at the World”s Fair, Bermuda, Hawaii, Walt Disney World/ Bahamas, New York City, and several cruise ship performances.
Debbie continues her dance studies throughout the summer. She continues to attend major workshops and master classes all over the country to stay current on the latest dance curriculum. Her disciplines are ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, clogging, musical theatre and contemporary. Students range from three years of age to adult.. Debbie will be taking on east coast swing ballroom dancing in the near future. Debbie has been owner for ten years.
